Swinging

Caleb is so enjoying the swing right now!  I remember the same thing being true of both Jake and Faith at this age.
He is all smiles and boyish enthusiasm.
He always says, "Higher!  Faster!"
And then he runs back to get his silkie.

Night Out

If you have come to visit, we've probably taken you to Gondoliers .  Everything is delicious with a Greek ethnic background.  Yum!  The children love the "cheesy pizza" and breadsticks.

Did you know that the back of Tony's pizzas have free bowling coupons?
We've cut out several and looked up a local bowling alley.

Lately several people have asked if Faith and Caleb are twins ... this is the first time I could see why.  I think Faith's haircut and similar size really make them like they may be the same age!

Okay, so bowling gets photos from the backside...I'll try to remember that next time.

Caleb was especially into it and quite aggressive.  Twice he didn't wait his turn and bowled in the next lane over.  Sorry workers.
But, this two year old did score two spares with no help from Mommy!

Finger Painting

What will keep a six, four and two year old all occupied?  I'm always looking for suggestions or thinking up my own ideas.  But I knew these fingerpaints would be a sure hit.

Caleb was so excited to have permission to get messy.

All three, busy at work.

Faith is our resident artist and that is what she says she wants to be when she grows up.

Caleb was facinated with his painted hands.

Jake's masterpiece

"Washable" was clearly marked on the labels and I'm so glad...
We went straight to bathtime!

A beautiful mess.

Freedom

I love going to the mountains for many reasons and one of them is that it feels so very free.  The children do not have to be neat or proper or contain the boundless energy and enthusiasm which is often pent up during other activities.  They just love the freedom to roam, splash and explore.  I do, too, actually!
Every bend a turn offers new discovery.
We especially enjoy getting to do it all with Nana & Papa!
Jake branches off the most - he imagines himself to be quite the outdoorsman.
Faith sticks a bit closer.
Papa and Faith at Schoolhouse Trail.
Papa & Caleb enjoying a snuggle.
Jake and a caterpillar.
Nana shared the caterpillar with Caleb, who was a bit skeptical.
There were so many butterflies this day.
Nana caught some, too.
Nana and Caleb under the "Echo Bridge."
Soon Caleb was ready for a nap.
Little Patriots
The hairstyle is growing on me - I like it!
Jake loved being an engineer with Papa.
I loved getting hike alone with my parents.  We are rarely together without the children.
Mother and I at the entrance of Tremont.
We spent several hours hiking and they treated me to Bar-B-Q.
We went tubing down the river, which is one of my new favorite activities.  But no one had their camera that day.  It was quite an adventure. I'm so grateful to live in such a great place.
