Getting Out

On this day, I needed to get outside just as much as the children.

We are SO blessed to be close to fantastic outdoor activities!

We love our Smoky Mountains - Nana found a caterpillar/worm?

Faith was appropriately squeamish.

Jake loved it.
Inching along...

Mommy and Caleb

What a cute image of "Hide & Seek."
Faith is counting, Jake is hiding.

We stopped to see these falls:
I think it is Meigs Falls.

Later the same day we got to go to the park!

Faith is so proud of  her hand-me-downs from Audrey...
I hope this lasts!
(Mindy do you recognize?  Thank you!)

Caleb did the "Tube Slide" alone for the first time this day.

Swinging is always the best!
I'm so glad the little ones had a great day!

What to do When it's Hot?

We head indoors to the mall!

I was grateful for the extra set of hands.

Mommy saves quarters for days like these -
Caleb is still little enough to get so excited over the rides.

Faith pretending to be Cruella DeVille.

Then loving the damation.

Jake can't wait to get to the train track.

Such little engineers!
Thank you, Nana, for the extra quarters and extra help!

The Carnival Comes to Town

We spotted the carnival was in town and Nana said, "Let's go!"
The Merry Go Round was first.

Waiting in line.

Roller Coaster Anticipation

Super Fun! - I love this photo.

Wild Faith

Driving off into the sunset -

I didn't take pictures of the ice cream we enjoyed to cool off.
We had such a fun evening!

Garden Fresh!

Our zuchini plant finally yielded some fruit!
Jake, Faith & Caleb love to help in the kitchen!

We only really had enough for one meal.
Our plant has lots of flowers, but not so much actual fruit.

Caleb & Faith love zuchini, Jake not so much.
Caleb was even eating it raw...is that healthy?
He ate several "sticks."

Summer Fun!

Jake has always liked baseball.
Now is more into actually playing baseball!
I'm sure he swing is all wrong, but it does connect with the ball sometimes!
And we have the cutest "ball-girl" in the world!
Faith cheers and faithfully replaces the balls to the "pitcher."
I think I'm going to have to find a team for Jake next spring.

A Little More Summer

Even though school has started and we're into a more strict routine...

There is no doubt that it is still summertime here!

The garden is at it's peak.

We're enjoying flowers indoors and out.

And we're enjoying lots of this:

Homemade ice cream!

Enjoying the ice cream while watching a movie in Mommy's bed.
Faith ate three bowls!

There is still time in the evening for filling the kiddie pool.

Then we carry loads of watering cans to the garden areas.

There is still time to enjoy popcicles.

Still time to dress up stuffies.

We even made it to the large city pool!

Jake was finally willing to try the big slide all alone -
He LOVED it!

We're enjoying the last of the hot season!
